The Story

Olivia's Emporium

The former Guardino Art Gallery location will remain the heart of the historic Alberta Art District, showcasing local Artists and Craftspeople.

A matriarchal practice of Orchid collection continues with Olivia Nogueira-Wheaton. Olivia prints production wallpaper in the back room for Lonesome Pictopia. Her specialty is copper etching, but she has an itch for letterpress and hopes to spark a creative flame in any passerby.

with a splash spontaneous classic Olivia oil, a dash of friendly encouragement and a dollop of neighborhood love i concocted this strange idea to open up a shop location on Alberta st. this summer… may 31st i hope the full moon will celebrate with us. no telling what curiosities you might find at Olivia’s Emporium. local growers, makers, plant geeks and more, even wallpaper galore! i want the space to teach people about lost arts, languages, recipes, species, gems and friends. a place to geek out and meet like minded fungi and fun guys. a place for the girlies(and bois) to drink white wine with magnolia petals and trade foraged goods and secrets. i want the streets to see a printing press and show them what a printmaker is again.
